Picador Plc has come to the aid of a group of budding video entrepreneurs to assist in their quest to start a video company. Tech mad 14-year olds Jack McGowan and his two friends, Jamie Stockwell and Will Kaye had been looking for something to keep them busy during the school holidays. With a real passion for technology, especially camera equipment and drones, the group wanted to make their own videos and potentially offer this as a service to local businesses. After successfully creating a video for a local coach company, Jack decided to reach out to Picador to see if they could help increase their portfolio.
With a brief to create a video highlighting the recently launched Vauxhall Insignia the Mountbatten school students set to work finding a video location, researching the vehicle and writing their scripts. With some assistance from parents for the driving, the boys delivered a professional video which was sent to Picador Plc Group Marketing Manager Paul Wilde.
On receiving the video Paul commented, “When Jack approached me to see if we could assist, I was only too happy to help. It is fantastic to see young people with the drive, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit wanting to get the experience they need to start their own small business. Their video showed a real understanding of the automotive sector and I think they did a fabulous job.”
This is just the start for Jack and his colleagues as they aim to continue shooting more videos in the future. On making the video Jack said, “We have all loved working with Picador and hope they love their video, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
